I’ve just finished reading the amazing book “The six pillars of self-esteem” by Nathaniel Branden and wow, it wasn’t at all what I’d expected. I somehow believed that people were born and raised with self-confidence…or not. Well let’s say that it is more complicated than that! A lot of external factors are involved in the shape our self-esteem takes over the years. It is our reaction to those factors that builds up – or down – our confidence in ourselves.
2016 was the year I took the big plunge. I was living in one of the richest countries in the world, Switzerland, had an amazing position as brand manager and everything was perfect. Well almost perfect. I felt the need to live a more adventurous life, to travel far away and to have the time of my life while it was still possible. After all, wasn’t I too young to burry myself in this comfortable life that yet took so much effort to achieve?

In the spring of 2015, I came across this wonderful book entitled “Success Principles” by Jack Canfield. Was it fate or a pure coincidence? Who knows but I was at a point in my life when I was badly in need for answers to grow as a human being, so I’d say it was fate. “Success Principles” has been a true revelation for me and radically life-changing too.

I believe that the limit that contains our comfort zone is a subtle mix of our fear of the unknown, our need to control as much as possible in our lives and let’s face it, our laziness to go the extra mile. But you know, you can choose to ignore this limit and decide that only the sky is.
My e-reader and I are inseparable. In this blogpost, I’ll go back over a love story that wasn’t meant to be in the first place and explain how owning an e-reader changed my reading behavior for the best.
