If you’re addicted to sunny places and beaches, please don’t shy away just yet. There is something you need to know: I live on sunshine just like you do and whenever I pick a new travel destination, it has to be near the sea with hot temperatures. But the fact is: my other half is on the other end of the spectrum. The wildest it gets (bears, glaciers, northern lights, snow fall and camping), the happier he is!
I don’t think anybody really needs directions on how to have a great time on a beautiful island, especially if they are in good company and the weather doesn’t play tricks. But let me tell you about my weekend on Salt Spring Island (I went there for the long weekend of Canada Day) and how you could spend a fabulous time if you decided to sail there.
2016 was the year I took the big plunge. I was living in one of the richest countries in the world, Switzerland, had an amazing position as brand manager and everything was perfect. Well almost perfect. I felt the need to live a more adventurous life, to travel far away and to have the time of my life while it was still possible. If you’re looking for unforgettable memories, Sicily really has it all: great landscapes, beautiful beaches, historical sites, picturesque villages and amazing food. I visited Sicily a few years ago and it remains one of my favorite destination. I had the chance to plan my trip in September during the off-season, when all the tourists are gone and the temperatures are very pleasant (between 25 and 28°C).
