A fresh and exotic treat like this strawberry and ginger smoothie isn’t something you can say no to!!! Even if you’ve already had dessert! It was getting so hot in Vancouver this summer that I was constantly making homemade drinks like this rosemary lemonade or this rooibos & blueberry iced tea.
You can guess I never buy soft drinks…except Kombucha. I have become obsessed with it lately and it does no good to my wallet. So back to this smoothie! One thing that I’ve learned while preparing smoothies is that adding aromatic herbs and/or spices makes all the difference for a perfect and exotic taste. I’ve added ginger in this one and can’t wait playing around with other stuff like basil, balsamic vinegar, or cilantro!
Serving: 4 glasses of smoothie
Timing: 20 minutes
– 3 cups strawberries
– 1 banana
– 1 kiwi
– ½ cup lime juice
– 1 cup almond milk
– 1 tsp ginger
Peel the banana and cut them roughly.
Wash the strawberries and drain them.
Peel the kiwi and cut it roughly as well.
In your food processor, mix all the ingredients together until smooth.
You can add fresh fruits for the decoration.
