Hello again lovely people! I was doing a little bit of closet cleaning the other day (not much to do as I’m currently living out of a suitcase or two, can’t wait to go back to France in December and bring my wardrobe back to Vancouver) and noticed I was almost only wearing nude shoes for summer which is actually no surprise at all.
My summer wardrobe is quite colourful and if I wanted to pair every outfit with matching shoes, I would probably spend a fortune. Not that I would mind but my bank and my other half would (he would give me something like “Don’t you think you have enough shoes already?”). And I am no Carrie Bradshaw…
These 4 pair of shoes are my staple for this summer and hopefully for the next to come. I’m going to show you how I wear them and you will even get a closer look at them 🙂 Let’s get started!
1. My favorite is the pair of blush sneakers. It’s 2017 and pink is everywear, litterally. I’ve always wandered how trends are borne…I was craving a pink pair of sneakers and it took me quite a while to unearth a pair that would suit my tastes. This pair of blush sneaker is from the brand Aldo (you can find them here) and is currently 50%off).
2. The cute light-pink bow slides caught my attention right away. They were first meant to be slippers but I could not resist to wear them outside (so bad, I know). They basically go with everything, I like to pair them with a cute dress like this white eyelet embroidered dress from J.Crew. They also come from Aldo and you can shop them here, if you like these slides but they don’t have your size anymore, they also come in balck or silver.
3. Here comes my other pair of white crisscross slides that offer a better support than the pink ones (don’t wear them if you’re planning long errands in town). They are perfect for the beach, a hot summer day at home or a barbecue party. They are still available on Aldo’s website and are currently 50% off. You can shop them here.
4. And last but not least, my pair of nude patent leather ballerinas that have been in my closet for a few years now. They are real good basics and I like wearing them with a nice pair of jeans like the one on the picture below. It’s an old pair of shows which explains why I was not able to find them on the market but I found a similar pair here and here.
