Mascara is the first beauty product I ever bought and I remember quite vividly the shopping trip that led to my first makeup purchase, including the fact that my parents were very reluctant to give me the permission to go shopping on my own. But who did not experienced that?? Since then, mascara has always been a staple in my makeup routine.
Last week, I received my first Voxbox sent by Influenster containing the free product Mega Multiplier Mascara by Revlon in the shade 803 Blackened Brown. The color perfectly matches my hair color (I have light brown hair) as it isn’t too dark nor too brown. The shape of the brush is conical and the mascara is therefore very easy to apply from lash line to tip. I was a bit sceptic at first because you know, every brand claims to offer the best mascara that will give a “mega lash look” and then you’re like “well, and another false promise”! However, I was positively surprised with this mascara. Not only did my lashes feel and look longer (without smudge and flake-free) but the mascara was also very easy to remove. I hate removing make-up and almost scratching my lids because of a bad persistent makeup product.
If you have been visiting this blog for a while, then you must know that I try to only pick the best natural beauty products available in the market. And I would have preferred a mascara from one of my favorite natural beauty brands like Pacifica, Dr Hauschka and the likes. Revlon is not known for producing natural beauty products and I had to look up the ingredients to make sure that I was staying true to my principles while reviewing this product. Here is my conclusion: the ingredients don’t look that awful (I reviewed them one by one). I couldn’t find the exact same product on skinsafeproducts.com but I found another mascara of the same brand and product line to compare (Skin Safe Revlon mascara product review) and it seems like the mascara is allergen free and doesn’t contain fragrance, nickel, top common allergy causing preservatives, lanolin, topical antibiotic, and MCI/MI. It is not really natural (which I would have preferred) but at least, it is safe!
What is your favorite mascara lovely people? Do share in the comment section down below! I always love to hear from you guys!
