Summer is here! Sometimes, it can get pretty boring drinking just plain water but I wouldn’t go down the sugary soda road for anything in the world. I bought this rooibos and blueberry tea by Rishi because I was running out of tea and when I had my first cup I thought that it would be perfect for a homemade iced-tea recipe. And it is! This tea is very fruity and adding a little bit of lemon and a touch of maple syrup as a natural sweetener makes it a fancy option for your lazy summer afternoons on your patio. Plus, you don’t have to feel guilty because it’s all very natural and doesn’t contain caffeine! Rooibos is really good for you as it is loaded with minerals and it is rich in antioxidants. Serving: 2 liters
Total Time: 10 minutes to prepare, 30 waiting time for the tea to cool down
– Rooibos & Blueberry tea by Rishi or an equivalent
– 1 lemon
– maple syrup
– ice cubes
Start by boiling 2 liters of water in a large sauce pan.
In a tea steeper, add the rooibos and blueberry tea. One tea spoon of loose leaf tea should be enough.
Let infuse for 5 minutes and remove from the saucepan. Let cool down.
Add ice cubes, slices of lemon and maple syrup to your liking.
